Welcome to my world, which I share with my wife and dogs. I grew up in the Bronx, graduated West Point, served in Special Operations and have written over 70 books across a variety of genres.
I’ve written a lot of books. Need help figuring out where to start or what to read next? Download my free readers guide from your favorite platform. Click on cover to the right to get links.
My latest works are continuations of the 3 million copy selling Area 51 series. I have a new series that’s actually a prequel to my bestselling Green Beret series. The Will Kane books are set in New York City in the last 1970s. The series begins with New York Minute, followed by Walk on the Wild Side, Hell of a Town and No Quarter.
Also, check out my Freebies page where you can get started on a variety of genres. There are also free audio stories.
There are over 225 free Powerpoint presentations on the free Slideshows page– lots of useful stuff on writing, survival tips, history, etc.
I consult and present workshops on personalized Area Studies for individuals, neighborhoods, organizations and businesses. With everyone facing climate related incidents and growing unrest, this is more important than ever. Click on the window to the right for more information.

Cool Gus and I welcome you to this Reader’s Guide. We put this together so that you can peruse all my titles, see books in series orders, and have convenient links to the platforms the books are available on. I’ve also included previously unpublished material such as the opening to my next book, New York Minute; a short story featuring characters from the Cellar; a complete Time Patrol mission of one character; a flashback cut from New York Minute; excerpts from my survival book and a complete event from Stuff Doesn’t Just Happen: The Gift of Failure covering the Titanic, and more
Books are listed in order in their series with a brief note from me on each book. Connections between books and series are explained, along with links where the books can be found—just click on the appropriate symbol. For the Audible symbol, you’re taken to the Amazon Audible Page, but you can also find those titles directly on Audible.
Several books are free so you can get a feel: Eyes of the Hammer; Duty; and Ides of March.
Books that have only Amazon and Audible links are enrolled in Kindle Unlimited and can be borrowed on Amazon. If you’re enrolled in Amazon Prime you can also borrow those books.

tAmerican Rus I’ve been enjoying American Rust week after week as it came out. It’s not exactly a murder mystery because you learn who the killer is pretty early on. It’s more interesting in that it’s a group of character studies. Jeff Daniels anchors it as the...
